Mariska Vansteensel obtained her PhD in the field of Neurophysiology in 2006 at Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands (Curriculum Vitae). In 2007, she moved to the BCI lab of Nick Ramsey, where she coordinates the research on implantable ECoG-based BCIs and conducts research on brain function mapping.
She is currently involved in the projects Utrecht NeuroProsthesis and iConnect. In 2016, she started her own research line on Pediatric Neuroscience, where she develops tools to optimize pediatric fMRI and investigates brain function representation in healthy and impaired children.
