Children with communication disabilities remain underserved by the BCI community, especially when considering implantable BCIs. We are happy to present the First International Summit On Implanted BCIs for Children with Complex Need (iBCI-CCN 2024, online), which will bring together key players in the fields of children with complex needs and implantable neurotechnology, to outline the benefits, risks, and barriers to implantable BCI systems for the children and young adults who have yet to be included in this space.
