Biography

Ibrahim Kiremitci has a BSc degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey (2009) and MSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA (2011). After working in the industry as an R&D engineer and software developer, he decided to return to the academia, and he obtained his PhD degree in Neuroscience from Bilkent University in 2021. After graduation, he joined the BCI Group at the UMC Utrecht as a postdoc researcher.

His main interests are Computational Neuroscience, Neurolinguistics and BCI. More specifically, he has a keen interest in encoding/decoding models and speech decoding using different modalities including fMRI and ECoG.
